Built in 1961, this Tucson ranch style house has been thoughtfully reimagined, retaining its original character while enhancing its ranch qualities with clarity, warmth, and modern touches- honoring history while embracing today.

The goal was to expand the ranch house typology, fully embracing principles of flow- circulation, daylight, and views- and carefully delineating public and private spaces. The result is a home defined by connectivity, where the reimagined living, dining, and kitchen areas feel expansive yet intimately linked to one another.

The exposed wood roof deck is a defining feature bringing warmth and texture, elements that celebrate the home’s architectural style. Wood recurs thoughtfully throughout the renovation, weaving continuity and character into every space.

The Tucson ranch style house remains a cornerstone of the city’s architectural identity. Following World War II, Tucson experienced rapid population growth where returning veterans and expanding families faced a housing shortage. The ranch typology gained popularity for its efficiency and affordability. The Peach Remodel honors these principles, celebrating functionality while elevating the home beyond its original form.
